The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has officially sanctioned the appointment of Dr. Mohd Ashraf Ganie as the Director of Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Soura. This decision comes as per the reference to the Governing Body, SKIMS meeting dated June 13, 2024.

The Health & Medical Education Department of the Civil Secretariat of J&K, Srinagar, released the Government Order No. 414-JK(HME) of 2024 on June 25, 2024. This order endorses the immediate effect appointment of Dr. Ganie, who served as a Professor in the Department of Endocrinology at SKIMS.
